The fun filled week of vacation had reached its final moments. It was about time to part ways and go back to the regular life. They were waiting for the check-in to start at the airport. The initial plan of them flying back together was sabotaged with the last minute work emergency. God! How much she wished for the time to change. It didn’t seem like a big deal because she would only get a few extra hours. But it was a big deal indeed!
The family of four had been divided in three places owing to the circumstances created by life. The walk of life had taken her away in a different city while her dad was taken to a different country leaving behind her mom and sister in the place they all called home.
This vacation together was long time due and thank God, it did workout at last. They all stood in the queue for check-in reminiscing their amazing vacation. "I still have the ticket for the same flight with you all.", laughed her dad. It still did not feel as though any minute it will be time to say goodbye.
Time doesn't stop for anyone. And thus, there was the moment of goodbye. As she made her way to the escalator with her mom and sister, the distance between her and her dad started lengthening. In that moment she could feel a storm of emotions taking over. And in that instant she felt the moment of goodbye. The sweet yet bitter reminder and promise to meet again.
