Let’s begin with the moral of the story. Never underestimate the power of a child. Also do not test the waters with a restless child. Maybe there are more but the idea is the same. Do not mess with a kid. Keep reading to know why.
It was a bright sunny day. My mom and my tiny self were traveling to my hometown with my mom’s uncle on a bus. No one knows why but the mini-me was very restless during the journey. Maybe the weather was hot. My mom’s uncle was holding her in his arms and she was on fire. She kept squirming in his arms. Both the adults assumed she will be fine in a bit. I mean what could she possibly do? She’s just a three years old kid.
Well, that’s where the adult logic fails. Kids are creative and can be very innovative whenever the need befalls. She was on a bus and her lower body was trapped in someone’s arms. Her options were limited. Her mind was racing and then an idea struck. And what she did next has astonished everyone in the family till today. She moved closer to her captor’s face and very smoothly dug her teeth into his right cheek. He screamed and my mom tried to pull her back. After a while, she happily jumped on to my mom beaming with victory. My mom’s uncle was holding on to his cheek while slowly giving in to the pain.
Till today I am reminded of that incident and the last time I met my mom’s uncle he just smiled and laughed recollecting the innocence of my tiny self.
Soon after that incident, my mom decided to send the little me to school. And this is how I looked when I was sent to my first school.
Yes, she was happy to be around more kids. She was happy to wear the school uniform and walk to school. She didn’t cry on her first day. Instead, she bid her mom goodbye with a wide smile and went inside. The teachers really liked her. They loved her energy and enthusiasm towards learning every day. If you told them the above story they wouldn’t believe it. Even I find it hard to believe sometimes. What about you?
